The Information for Health Enquiry Service helps you find up to date and accurate information on a health condition you have been diagnosed with.

There's a confusing array of health information online and it's very difficult to find health resources that are trustworthy, so we will recommend books and reputable websites that can help you manage and understand your condition. If there are any local support groups or charities that can offer practical and emotional help then we will also find them for you.

We're working in partnership with the librarians at the Queen Alexandra Hospital Library so have access to the latest medical journals and research.

Informed Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond is a grassroots, not for profit community group.
We are committed to supporting families to create community and find the information they need when pregnant, birthing and finding their way as a new family.
We facilitate three peer support groups each month.
Portsmouth Group - Second Friday of Each Month at 10am.
Fareham and Gosport Group -Third Tuesday of Each Month at 10am.
Online Group via Zoom -Last Thursday of each month at 8pm.
We also have a Facebook Support Group for peer support through pregnancy, birth, postnatal recovery and parenting.

InSight is a group working together to build community for those who feel isolated, perhaps through caring for others, or who experience mental ill health, those in recovery from addition, or who do not have a place to meet others. We offer a variety of activities including arts and crafts, board games and a hot, two course meal. We meet every Tuesday from 10.30am. For further details, just come along and speak to Sue Cregan, one of the team .

The Inspiration Federation is an educational Not-for-Profit organisation that works with communities to inspire, raise aspirations and promote positive citizenship. It also helps raise money to support those injured in the Emergency Services and Armed Forces.

The Integrated Learning Disabilities Services are made up of social and health care workers. As they work together in the same team, we call this an integrated service.

Jigsaw (South East) supports bereaved children, young people and their families and also those affected by a family member having a terminal diagnosis.

The John Pounds Centre is Portsmouth’s flagship community and enterprise facility boasting a 350-seat capacity multi-use Sports Halls, Gym/Fitness Suite, Meeting & Training Rooms, IT Suite, Arts Spaces, Library, Youth Rooms, Nursery, Launderette, Office Space, and Cafe, providing affordable and accessible activities and services to local residents and the wider city.

John Pounds Church is the home of Portsmouth Unitarians. There has been a place of worship on this site in Old Portsmouth’s High Street since 1662 when a Presbyterian chapel was opened by an Anglican clergyman who fell out of grace with St Thomas’s Church (now Portsmouth Cathedral).
