The Lark NetworkThe Lark Network is an inclusive community that provides events, training, and support for women who face additional barriers to working for themselves.
We do things a bit differently at Lark. You won’t be asked to do your elevator pitch (although if you want support perfecting it, we’ll be more than happy to help!). We’re not about pushy sales. We believe in giving you the time and space to build genuine connections with other women, allowing you to create a real support network. Events We run a range of monthly events and one-off workshops throughout the year. Join us at The Host Cafe on the first Monday of every month for our Lunch Break networking session where we invite you to step away from your desk and enjoy lunch with other entrepreneurial women. On the second Sunday of the month, we meet at Southsea Library for Startup Sunday. These sessions include meaningful conversations and mini-workshops to boost your business skills. Join our monthly Business Book Club to discover new and inspiring personal and professional development books. Our book club runs monthly online. All our events are free to attend, children are welcome, and refreshments are provided. The Orchards and The LimesIn The Orchards unit, there are two wards called Hawthorn Ward and Maples Ward. The Orchards unit forms part of the Acute Care Pathway. The Hawthorn Ward is for Acute Admissions and the Maples Ward is for Psychiatric Intensive Care. They both primarily look after working age adults (18-65 years). However, they may accept those who are older depending on their needs. It also depends if they require an admission for a period of treatment for a mental illness and due to their risks, cannot receive appropriate care in the community.
