Kitbags Live On

This service is for veterans who have dementia that live in the community. This includes anyone who has served in the British armed forces. Veterans are expected to attend with a carer. We meet at Portsmouth Deaf Centre. There is a small car park accessed via Clifton Street, turning left into Colburg Street behind the centre. ASDA, situated opposite the centre, offer 3 hours FREE parking to shoppers.

  • We provide activity groups for veterans with dementia and their carers.
  • ‘Kitbags Live On’ is a group where like minded people can get together and share their experiences in a relaxed and supportive environment.
  • We offer lots of opportunity to reminisce around service life, with sessions tailored around those that attend the group.
  • We aim to reduce social isolation, raise self esteem & empower ex-service personnel through our activities.
  • As a team we also offer guidance, support and information as required for carers.

If you would like to attend, please call the Admiral Nurse Service on: 023 8202 5787 For further information, please call Cliff Cropley the Group Facilitator on: 07458 134672
