Ethnic Minority Achievement Service (EMAS)

EAL Portsmouth (the home of Portsmouth's Ethnic Minority Achievement Service) are a team of highly experienced and well-respected Advisers and Bilingual Learning Assistants. We work with schools in Portsmouth and beyond, across all Key Stages (Nursery - KS5), to support pupils who have English as an Additional Language to make outstanding progress.

Our courses and consultancy are constantly reshaped to meet the particular needs of a school, group of schools or local authority. We also provide a range of pupil-support services, including diagnostic and holistic assessments.

MAKE in Fratton Aldingbourne Trust

Venue: MAKE is a community hub in Cornwall Road. Everyone is welcome. It's one of the Aldingbourne Trust’s innovative projects supporting adults with learning disabilities and / or autism to develop skills within a variety of areas to enable people to lead independent lives and gain employment within the community. We love working with other organisations in the neighbourhood.

Our friendly team welcome you and invite you to pop in for a cuppa and slice of our delicious cake or stay a little longer and enjoy a home cooked lunch or our famous pies! We do have a small children’s area for your little ones to play in whilst you relax with your friends. For special occasions, please get in touch with us as we can help with Afternoon Tea for a large group of friends and we can host Children's Parties.

Large Charity Shop: We sell a range of great second hand items at really good prices. Children's and Adult clothing, homeware, books, toys and loads more.

The Victim Care Service delivered by Victim Support provides free, confidential support for anyone affected by crime who are residents of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight aged 4 upwards. Our aim is to help you cope and recover from the effects of crime, in a way that suits you. We know that crime can impact people in many different ways, that's why we provide tailored support based on an individual's needs.
