Extra Care is aimed mainly at older people that need support with their daily living, to live in their own, self-contained home with the security of having someone on hand, if needed, 24 hours a day.

It provides the security and privacy that you would get in a home of your own, plus a range of facilities on-site, and 24-hour care services available when needed. Accommodation can vary. Some Extra Care Housing will be new purpose-built schemes, others will be sheltered housing with extra facilities on the premises. If you require help with personal care and daily activities and your present accommodation is not suitable any more, then Extra Care Housing might be the answer you are looking for.
