Sewing/Sustainable Textiles

Every First and Third Wednesday in Southsea Library. We can teach how to repair clothes and other textiles, how to upcycle and adjust your textiles and how to do basic hand-sewing. Projects provided free of charge. Contact southsea.sustex@gmail.com.
Our Classes are outlined below
Sewing on sewing-machines. Learn to sew or bring your own project and use our machines.
We have 8 sewing-machines and fabric and haberdashery. Learn to sew on a machine or bring your own if you'd like a lesson on how it works. Bring clothes you need to repair or adjust. We can inspire you on re-purposing and upcycling too. OR make one of our simple projects. You'll need to book your place. Clothes-making lessons also available.
Opening hours: Usually the third Monday each month except for school holidays. Morning and Evening sessions. Check first and book.

Age: any age. Parents: stay with your child ( unless they are normally allowed out on their own 14+). We are DBS checked and trained.

Age range, we also have children's kits available in our sessions. Under 13 must have an adult with them.
