Groundlings TheatreGroundlings Theatre is a theatre company and drama school based in Portsea and we pride ourselves on being firmly rooted in our community. Operated by registered charity, The Groundlings Theatre Trust, we are committed to identifying and supporting the needs of our community by providing numerous opportunities for participants to upskill themselves, rediscover former passions and meet like-minded people and avoid social isolation. We ensure the safety and upkeep of a historic Grade II* listed building formerly known as the Old Beneficial School and as the only professional producing theatre in the city, we strive to provide a rich mixture of cultural experiences alongside a dedicated engagement and participation programme that celebrates and cultivates our local community. Our mission is defined by our motto, ‘Create, inspire, achieve’, and this remains at the heart of all our endeavours.
We are always on the lookout for volunteers and have a range of opportunities you can get involved with from ushering to set building. We are based two minutes away from Gunwharf and Portsmouth Harbour Train Station and have on site parking. Please enquire for more information on what you can get involved in. |
