Recovery And Wellbeing

The YOU Trust Support and enablement services

We offer three types of care and support to meet everyone’s needs:

Homecare/Support at Home – personal care, support with budgeting, housing, social and leisure activities, daily living activities, emotional and behavioural support
Community-Based Support – small groups of people are supported to access relevant volunteering, occupational, social, and leisure activities in your community
Enablement – time-limited support to learn a new skill in your home or community based on your goals and what you want to achieve
Support in supported living accommodation is designed to help individuals live as independently as possible. This while ensuring they receive the necessary assistance around daily living tasks. The level and type of support vary based on individual needs. Such as preferences and goals. Which may include:

household management
personal care
meal planning and preparation
medication management
social and recreational activities
skill development, such as independent living skills, employment and education
In 2021 Hampshire County Council awarded us a 5-year contract to manage their Support and Enablement Services. It covers the:

New Forest
Totton
Hedge End
Fareham
Havant
Waterlooville
Petersfield
Hayling Island
Gosport
We also offer our services in other areas, like Portsmouth, where local council reffers clients to us.

By working alongside our clients, we can help you achieve your goals. And as partners, we make sure you get the right type of support that you need.

We provide services that include personal care, a variety of skill development and occupational, social, and leisure activities.

We work closely with clients to create person-centered care and support plans. Because of this, our approach is holistic. This develops people’s strengths and goals, helping them to become more independent and live the life they want.

Tim Kiver Foundation

Tim Kiver Foundation are ‘Experts By Experience’ and offer support for anyone affected by ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) in Hampshire (Southampton, Isle of Wight and Portsmouth) and throughout the rest of the UK too.
Our support is for adults and parents of children who may be affected by ADHD with our awareness activities supporting groups, businesses and the public in general.

We run local Support Groups in Southampton and Portsmouth plus an Online Support Group for anyone who prefers this method and anyone from outside of our local area.

We support individuals providing advice and advocacy to individuals and their families to ensure that undiagnosed individuals with ADHD symptoms are sign posted to the correct medical teams / resources, armed with the information necessary to obtain medical help more effectively.

We spread ADHD Awareness by attending public events, holding publicised Information Drop Ins and presenting ADHD Awareness Sessions for groups, businesses and the general public.

Tonic Music for Mental Health

Tonic Music for Mental Health is a charity based on the south coast of England. We promote good mental health through music. We already have a proud history and have helped many isolated and vulnerable people in our community.

Tonic Music for Mental Health runs two programmes.

Recovery Through Music:

The Recovery Through Music programme provides safe and supportive environments for people to come together, learn new skills, get creative, and make new friends.

The free-to-attend programme comprises a Music Jam and Vocal Groups. We support people both within and outside of mental healthcare services. Tap here to get involved!

We also collaborate with the NHS and local authorities to provide music workshops further afield. Tonic services complement the traditional support provided by public sector mental health services.

Tonic Rider:

The innovative Tonic Rider programme promotes good mental health in the music industry by providing bespoke training and support to music industry professionals, both remotely and at venues.

Many people working in the music industry experience mental health issues. They can be brought on by the highs and the lows, the touring, the late nights, and the lifestyle. The industry can be volatile and competitive, with no financial security. This leaves music industry professionals vulnerable to developing mental health issues.

Tonic Rider addresses this by providing mental health-related training and support, tailored to the music industry. Our training and support include a Peer Support Group, Mental Health First Aid training, mental health guides, Tonic stands at festivals and events, and various other groups, workshops and courses. Wellbeing Walks Portsmouth

It’s almost impossible not to feel good when we’re walking outdoors – it’s a natural mood-booster! And the great news is we don’t need to walk far or fast to feel its effects on our health and wellbeing. Simply getting out is a tonic for our minds and bodies, and it can be sociable too.

Almost all of us can manage a stroll, and Ramblers Wellbeing Walks make it easier to start walking and stay active. And you’ll certainly never be short of good company. Join us on our walks listed on our website, you can just turn up on the day and our welcoming leaders will help you to register to the walks. If you would like to discuss any information further, please call or email below and we will get back to you about the walks. Ramblers wellbeing Walks are a volunteer based scheme, offering free socialable led walks in Portsmouth. This scheme is run jointly by Portsmouth City Council and The Ramblers.
