Household Maintenance

Portsmouth City Council offers support to private tenants whose landlords are not doing enough to maintain their homes, or to home owners who cannot afford to bring their homes up to a decent standard.

We're one of the largest providers of affordable homes and housing-related services in the south of England with around 72,000 customers, 32,000 homes and over 850 employees. Our vision is “more homes, bright futures” and our mission is to give customers a safe and secure home and provide the foundations for their wellbeing.

We offer a range of support for our customers, including money advice and benefits and help with employment and training.
