Job opportunity: Alliance Director, Hampshire & Isle of Wight VCSE Health and Care Alliance
Action Hampshire is recruiting an Alliance Director to lead the Hampshire & Isle of Wight VCSE Health and Care Alliance (HIVCA).
HIVCA brings together voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations from across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The Alliance Director will lead its work, represent the sector and help strengthen its influence on health and care across the area.
About the role
The Alliance Director will:
- set strategy and deliver priorities with the Alliance’s Leadership Committee
- represent members and communities, and influence the NHS, local authorities, public health and other partners
- help shape commissioning, prevention, work on health inequalities and neighbourhood working
- lead engagement, the HIVCA team, governance, resources, risk, business planning and funding
Who they are looking for
Action Hampshire is looking for a senior leader with experience in the voluntary sector, health and care, local government or a related field. You will be a skilled influencer with a good understanding of complex systems, health inequalities, Integrated Care Systems and community-based approaches. They also want someone inclusive and collaborative, with experience in commissioning, service development, programme delivery or transformation.
The details
- Salary: £45,000 per year full time equivalent (pro rata)
- Hours: part time, 21 hours a week (3 days)
- Contract: 18 months, with the possibility of extension
- Location: Hampshire, hybrid working
- Closing date: Monday 2 November 2026 at 9am
