Are you a veteran?
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Veteran's launch new service today - Mental Health High Intensity Service (HIS).
The Veteran's High Intensity Service (HIS) is a crisis response mental health service for Veteran's and their families. Working alongside the Transition, Intervention and Liaison Service (TILS) and the Complex Treatment Service (CTS), the Hampshire and Isle of Wight HIS aims to provide a swift and direct route into dedicated mental health services, whilst providing a wrap around service to manage social health problems, such as homelessness, debt and joblessness.
You can refer a veteran or a member of their family into the High Intensity Service via NHS 111, by emailing snhs.veteranshis.se@nhs.net, or the veteran themselves calling 111.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight service is a unique collaboration and is proudly delivered by NHS111, Solent NHS Trust, South Central Ambulance Service, Walking With The Wounded, All Call Signs, Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.
You can watch our partners at All Call Signs talking about the values of the HIS service and the valuable role of General Practioners and Social Prescribers in ensuring access to it, here.
