Christmas Connections Grants

Monday, October 30, 2023

McCarthy Stone Foundation is once again offering support to those who are lonely and isolated over the festive period by supporting local groups that are organising events/activities.

Their grant programme includes support with things like:

  • Trips to Christmas markets
  • A subsidised/free Christmas meal together
  • Delivery of Christmas meals/care packages
  • Small gifts as part of a befriending initiative
  • Costs of befriending visits/volunteer expenses

Funding is available for organisations with an income of less than £250,000 each year and will focus on volunteer-led initiatives. Activities must take place between 1st December and 2nd January.

Registered charities, community groups with constitutions, and Community Interest Companies (CIC) limited by guarantee may apply. Priority will be given to groups where activities are free/low cost at point of use, to ensure inclusivity and equity.

Grants are up to a maximum of £1,000 and £30,000 of total funds will be awarded.
