Funding Update

We would like to circulate a special edition of the Funding update to promote upcoming local funders opportunities.

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation (HIWCF)  is an  independent charitable foundation specialising in building funds and awarding grants on behalf of donors and fundholders. Their aim is to support the vital work of smaller charities, community groups and voluntary organisations across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

In early January 20220, HIWCF will have new grant-programmes available, more information will be available to you at: https://www.hiwcf.org.uk/grants/  .

HIVE Portsmouth have a dedicated bid writer available who is always happy to read through a proposal and give you feedback ahead of submission. This free support is available to the VCSE sector of Portsmouth by simply email grants@hiveportsmouth.org.uk to arrange a call

Arts Council England ‘Let’s Create’ Jubilee Fund: To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022, grants from £750 up to £10,000 will be available for creative projects from charities, community organisations and voluntary groups in Hampshire, Portsmouth, Southampton and the Isle of Wight.

The grants programme has been established thanks to funding from the National Lottery, and is encouraging collaboration with established artists, creatives and cultural organisations to help communities come together to celebrate this important milestone in national history.

Opens 4th January 2022. Deadline for Submissions is  4th February 2022.

 

The Hampshire Playing Fields Fund: The Hampshire Playing Fields Fund provides funding for non-commercial and non-statutory groups that are based and active in Hampshire, Portsmouth, Southampton and the Isle of Wight.

These grants will support organisations that benefit the local population with access to outdoor spaces and activities, that will enable them to participate in games, sports and physical activities. Grants will be available to replace, repair or purchase new equipment, cover coaching costs, support volunteer development, and marketing costs to reach new or under-served communities. Capital costs of up to 10% of a full project will also be eligible for funding.

Opens 10th January 2022 Deadline for Submissions is  7th February 2022.

 

Charles Burnett Memorial Fund: Charitable organisations based and working in Hampshire, Portsmouth, Southampton and the Isle of Wight and in particular the New Forest will be able to apply for a grant of between £1,000 to £25,000, to support their charitable projects and services.

The fund has been established to support issues including animal welfare, the wellbeing of servicemen/women, the environment, medicine and science, heritage, education, community cohesion and welfare issues. Closes 7th February 2022.

 

Opens 10th January Deadline for Submissions is  7th February 2022.
