Queen's Platinum Jubilee 2022 - Portsmouth City Council
To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Portsmouth City Council have made grants available for environmentally focused community legacy projects in every ward in the city such as wildflower gardens, beehives or parklets.

Safer Beginnings Onwards Grants
Funding is intended to improve maternal safety and outcomes of women and girls by supporting the development of services which address issues such as obstetric violence, female genital mutilation/cutting, domestic violence, coercion, financial abuse and pregnancy informed by previous sexual or physical trauma.

7stars Foundation
Grants are available to support young people challenged by abuse and addiction, those who are young carers, and those who are homeless or without a safe place to call home. Project grants of up to £2,500 are available. Project grants to cover the costs of projects which: Enable young people to have the best start in life and aim high; Have a direct impact and respond to a need in an immediate manner; Are hosted in geographical areas of deprivation and socioeconomic disadvantage; Respond to one or more of the funding priorities of the7stars foundation; Address a lack of provision (due to a lack of funding from alternative sources); Provide immediate support, not just in the short-term but with long-term benefits too.

CIL Transformation Fund
Have an idea to improve you local area? Crowdfund to make it happen with the CIL Transformation Fund. Raise money for community improvements that are open to everyone and you can apply for match funding for half of your project up to £5,000. Once an eligible project has raised 25% of their fundraising target from multiple pledges, if you meet the Council’s criteria and sign up to their terms and conditions, PortsmouthCity Council may pledge 50% of the target (up to a maximum of £5,000), subject to available funds within the ward the project is located within. Projects must be located within Portsmouth and help address the demands that development places on the city. Each potential project must meet the fund criteria and sign the fund terms and conditions, which can be found using the link below.

Social Enterprise Support Fund – The National Lottery Community Fund
The Social Enterprise Support Fund provides essential financial support to help social enterprises in England to rebuild and grow their income from trading, following the impact of COVID-19. This funding can be used to help you get your social enterprise back on track or help you work with communities that are recovering. You can apply for grants from £10,000 to £100,000. Most grants will be between £10,000 and £50,000.

National Lottery Awards for All
Grants are available for charities, voluntary groups, schools and local authorities in England to carry out projects that will improve their local community. The funding is intended for projects that support communities to thrive by Building strong relationships in and across communities; Improving the places and spaces that matter to communities; Helping more people to reach their potential, by supporting them at the earliest possible stage. Awards for All England funding is also available to support Platinum Jubilee themed community-led events on the weekend of 4 to 5 June 2022 and throughout 2022.
Deadline for general submissions is ongoing but groups applying for funding for Jubilee projects must apply before 31st March 2022. You can click here to find out more information.
Portsmouth Lotteries Good Causes
Portsmouth Community Lottery is a fun and effective way for your good cause to raise regular funds. Draws take place every Saturday night and winners are advised directly, so if you don’t have the time to check who’s won, we’ll let you know. There are no set up costs or admin fees - just fill in a simple online form and once approved you will be set you up with your very own customisable lottery page. 60% of ticket sales will go to good causes - 50% to your cause and 10% to a fund supporting good causes in Portsmouth. Your funds are sent directly to your account every month. With 50 tickets a week you can raise over £1,300 every year.

Digital Candle
Digital Candle is a free service for charities who want a one hour call with a digital expert. Charities can get advice on any aspect of digital or digital marketing, from digital strategy to Google Ads and from remote service delivery to social media. As of Oct 2021, they had 443 experts ready to help.
