Join the team - Mental Health Engagement Officer

Tuesday, May 31, 2022

HIVE Portsmouth works with individuals, communities and other organisations to improve the health and well-being of people in Portsmouth.

We believe that everyone deserves to be supported with their mental health needs and the Mental Health Engagement Officer will play a key role in the transformation of community mental health in the city and in the development of a Mental Health Lived Experience Network for Portsmouth.

We’re looking for someone to lead on engagement with people who have a lived experience of mental health, encouraging them to share their experiences so we can work towards making positive changes to community mental health services in the city.

An understanding of and empathy for mental health issues is key, along with a genuine desire for service improvement and the ability to communicate with a wide range of people.

Joint working is at the heart of community mental health transformation, and the postholder will be working in partnership with the community, Health and Care Portsmouth, Solent NHS and the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector.

We are encouraging people who have their own lived experience of mental health to apply.
