HIVE Portsmouth works with people and organisations to improve the health and well being of people in Portsmouth. Key partners include health and care statutory organisations, Portsmouth City Council, the University of Portsmouth and the hundreds of voluntary, community and social enterprise groups (VCSE) who play a pivotal role in supporting local people. We actively support the development of the VCSE sector within the City of Portsmouth and enable and support social action on issues within Portsmouth.
We are looking for two passionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as part time Voluntary Sector Development Officers to support the development of the VCSE sector and organisations within the city, engaging with organisations at a local level to help them grow, create solutions to challenges, build local connections, champion collaboration, learning and sharing within the sector. You will build trust with underrepresented communities, facilitate events and conversations and ensure information flow on key issues and opportunities.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is keen to build positive partnerships across VCSE organisations and facilitate partnership working, collaboration and learning. The successful candidates must demonstrate a good understanding of HIVE Portsmouth’s goals and ensure that the role of HIVE Portsmouth is clearly communicated. They will acquire an in-depth knowledge of the VCSE within Portsmouth and be passionate about supporting the sector; demonstrating their impact and creating capacity to strengthen the sector. They will be solution focused and able to confidently suggest credible opportunities to help organisations fill identified gaps in provision, develop and achieve their objectives.
If you think you are the ideal person who can clearly demonstrate a commitment to our charitable objectives and the objectives of this role, we would love you to join our team.
