We had a MASSIVE response to our World Book Day appeal last year and we’re once again asking you to raid the fancy dress box so we can kit out the kids of Portsmouth in literary-themed costumes for free.
We’d be grateful for any outfits in good condition, whatever size, character or theme.
Donations can be dropped off at any Portsmouth library, simply pop them in a bag labelled ‘for HIVE Portsmouth’ and they’ll make their way to us.
We’ll then distribute the outfits ahead of the big day, which promotes reading for pleasure, and which this year is being celebrated on Thursday 7 March.
Let’s make this World Book Day one to remember for local children.
