Friday Funding - our regular round up of funding news for the week - would you like support with bid writing?  Would you like us to run a funder search based on the needs of your group?  email Hive - info@hiveportsmouth.org.uk - with FUNDING SUPPORT as the subject

Trusthouse Charitable Foundation - A grant making foundation giving grants to small and medium sized local organisations in the UK with a demonstrable track record of success working to address local issues in communities of extreme urban deprivation and deprived rural districts. Major Grants open on the 9th November 2020 with new criteria.
Small Grants: apply at any time during the year and receive a final decision 8 weeks after we receive your application.  Find out more here

Armed Forces Covenant Trust - Part of the Veterans’ Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund, the Positive Pathways programme will award fixed grants of £35,000 for projects developed by and for veterans. Projects should aim to improve veterans’ mental health and wellbeing by getting veterans out and active. Closing date 30 November.  Find out more here

The Solent Local Enterprise Partnership is inviting applications from small businesses for Restart and Recovery & Kickstarting Tourism Grants.  Funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) eligible small businesses that have been negatively impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic in the visitor economy and wider economy can access grants of between £1 and £3K.  The money can be used to cover 100% of the cost of professional services and, in some instances, to purchase minor equipment or adopt new technology to diversify. Deadline 23 November.  Find out more here

The Woodward Charitable Trust only makes grants for core costs rather than specific projects as they recognise that smaller charities can find these hard to fund. They hope that this will have a more direct impact on the organisations that they choose to fund.   The Trustees favour small-scale, locally based initiatives and most grants are only for one year.  The Trustees particularly look to fund projects that help families and young people and that are aiming to improve the life chances of the beneficiaries. They like projects that promote community cohesion and the development of skills that will change the outlook and outcomes for the users.  Find out more here

UK Youth Fund - Covid Relief.  Grants are available for small organisations in England that support young people and have not had access to the crisis funding they require to survive the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic.  The funding is intended to prevent closures of youth organisations as a result of the COVID-19 crisis and to support the adaptations needed to ensure high quality essential services to young people can continue in both the short and long term. Deadline 25 November.  Find out more here
