Action Hampshire’s next free Energy Awareness workshop for the VCSE sector will be held on Monday 7th October at 1pm on Zoom. If you can’t make it there will be additional workshops held on Wednesday 30th October, Tuesday 19th November and Thursday 5th December.
We know that organisations are supporting vulnerable beneficiaries who may be in fuel poverty and may need help with their energy needs.
Action Hampshire has received funding from SGN for their project Safe & Warm Communities which aims to support organisations in Hampshire and Dorset to better support their beneficiaries.
As part of this exciting new project, the group is providing free online energy workshops for the VCSE sector. The idea is to provide information and upskill our VCSE partners in energy awareness as although you may not be usually providing energy support, you may be seeing the effects of fuel poverty on your beneficiaries. After attending the workshop we can support you to share what you have learnt with vulnerable members of your community.
The workshop will provide you with the confidence in having conversations about energy and supporting people to be safe and warm at home. During the workshop you will learn -
- How to reduce energy use
- Help available for vulnerable households
- Carbon monoxide awareness
- Priority Services Register
- How to access resources and signposting to specialist services
- Support available from Action Hampshire team and how you can share what you’ve learnt
After attending the workshop you will be able to access an online Resources Toolkit to help you deliver messaging to your communities and there is also an opportunity to apply for a £500 grant for those who are able to reach over 30 beneficiaries.
