We are delighted to be launching Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) Portsmouth in partnership with the University of Portsmouth and Portsmouth City Council, having received a £5m investment over 5 years from the National Institute for Health and Care Research.
Our HDRC partnership will combine local government, community sector and academic expertise to develop and deliver local research that can support decision-making in the city.
The research generated will focus on the building blocks of health, for example, factors such as housing, education, air quality and access to green spaces, which impact on the health and wellbeing of communities and can create inequalities across the city.
