HIVE Portsmouth is working closely with IncuHive to offer a limited number of memberships at their city centre co-working Hub to businesses which align with the values of the HIVE Portsmouth and the VCSE organisations it supports.
The move is designed to strengthen relationships between the voluntary and private sectors in Portsmouth, and HIVE Portsmouth hopes it will encourage greater collaboration between the two.
The HIVE Portsmouth Hub, which opened in 2023, has already supported dozens of local charities and voluntary groups by offering flexible and affordable workspace, business support, and opportunities for networking and collaboration.
VCSE organisations will continue to make up the majority of those who use the space and the services offered at the Hub, including free networking events, mentoring, and business support, will remain tailored primarily to the needs of the voluntary sector.
Revd Canon Bob White, Chair of Trustees for HIVE Portsmouth, said: "We’re proud of how the HIVE Portsmouth Hub has been able to support the sector over the past two years, and we’re committed to keeping it a welcoming, collaborative space for VCSE organisations across the city. By opening our doors to the wider business community, we can ensure the Hub is able to support the voluntary sector for years to come, and introduce even more opportunities for partnerships, skill-sharing and support."
George Scott-Welsh, CEO of IncuHive, added: "At IncuHive, we believe in the power of collaboration to drive real change. This partnership with HIVE Portsmouth is about more than just shared space – it’s about creating a vibrant community where businesses can learn from one another, innovate together, and amplify their impact in the city."
