We would like to help you turn that idea into a reality! HIVE Portsmouth is promoting new social enterprise support offered by UnLtd. Successful applicants will gain practical and financial help. First round applications need to be submitted by end September 2021, with subsequent rounds to follow from both UnLtd and HIVE Portsmouth’s own Encouraging Innovation fund.

The Partnership Foundation: Grants are available for individuals, voluntary and community organisations, social enterprises and other not for profit organisations in the Portsmouth and South East Hants area. Grants of up to £500 are available with an easy application process. Your project could be a community event, or to develop an idea. It could be a collaboration between different groups to become sustainable or to make something happen.

Thomas Wall Trust: Grants are available for UK registered charities for specific projects or core activities that equip disadvantaged people aged 18 and over with the necessary communication skills for employment. The funding is for registered charities that are working to develop communication skills for people from disadvantaged groups who want to improve their employment prospects. Grants of up to £5,000 are available. Applicant must be a registered charity that’s annual income doesn’t exceed £500,000.

Black and Minoritised Women’s Fund: Grants are available to voluntary and community organisations, led-by-and-for Black and minoritised women, that have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 to support their core costs and enable continued service delivery in England. You can apply for a maximum of £10,000. Please check the website to review eligibility to apply for this fund.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Fund have launched two new opportunities:
Recovery Fund – Grants of £1,000 - £5,000 are available for organisations working in Portsmouth, with young people aged 16-25 and older people aged over 65 who have been negatively impacted by Covid-19, to help address poverty (including housing), digital inclusion and skills and opportunities. Grants will cover the purchase of equipment, running costs including salaries, core costs and project costs, hire of meeting spaces, volunteer expenses and more.

Strategic Youth Recovery Fund- Grants of £12,000 - £15,000 are available to help organisations in Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton that are working with young people. The grants will help to rebuild volunteer bases, to ensure greater sustainability for the future. Grants will cover projects that build new skills and opportunities for young people and will help organisations to develop resilience and capability to maintain impact and reach. Collaborative project partnerships are also eligible to apply.

The Triangle Trust 1949 Fund: Grants are available for charities, not-for-profit social enterprises and community interest companies in the UK that are working to support young carers/young adult carers or young offenders. The young carers programme is closed for 2021 but if your project involves young offenders you are able to apply. Grants of between £10,000 and £60,000 are available with projects with a duration of between six months and two years.

National Lottery Community Fund- Together for Our Planet: Grants are available to voluntary and community organisations in the United Kingdom for small-scale projects to take action on climate change. The Together for Our Planet funding programme aims to support the nurturing and development of local ideas, contributing to a legacy of ongoing climate action projects in hundreds of communities across the UK. Grants of £1,000 to £10,000 are available, with approximately 400 to 500 awards expected to be made through this programme.
