Christ Church PortsdownThe parish of Portsdown and Purbrook brings together two churches who together serve the communities of Purbrook, Widley, Berewood and North Cosham.
Our services are relaxed in style, while remaining structured. St John’s tends to the traditional, whereas Christ Church is a little more contemporary, with sung worship led by a worship band. The parish was formed in 2023, building on the shared lives of our churches, which includes numerous groups and activities supporting the needs of people in our locality. We welcome you to explore our churches on this website and in person. |

Church of NazareneWe are a small family Church with a big heart and we’re open for worship every Sunday morning. Our service starts no earlier than 11:00 and no later than 11:05….well, not much later.
Our services are relaxed but we do ask you to be quiet during the sermon. We only ask one person to bring God’s word and you’ll recognise them because they face you and have a microphone. Jesus met with people in their circumstances; fisherman at sea and Zacchaeus in a tree. We don’t expect you to dress up, but don’t mind if you do. We don’t have a Pastor so we have a group of different speakers who visit us. This gives us plenty of variety so we are likely to have something for everyone. Come along, you might even enjoy it! |
Church of the Holy SpiritThe Church of the Holy Spirit is a place of worship and community service.
It is our hope that everyone living within reach of the Parish Church in Fawcett Road will discover where they might come for worship and prayer, to have their weddings celebrated, their children baptised and their family funerals received by the Priest of their Parish. Fawcett Road

CIS'tersRape, sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children is endemic within our society.
Society and individuals within it, need to become more aware of the prevalence and impact of such crimes on victims and take responsibility for the prevention and detection of such abuse, and the facilitation of recovery processes. CIS’ters was set up in September 1995 by Gillian, a female survivor of childhood sexual abuse by a member of her immediate family. Our mission is to raise awareness of the existence of sexual abuse during childhood and to highlight the needs of those directly and indirectly affected. We are a peer based organisation and offer emotional support to adult females, who as female children were sexually abused within a family environment, the opportunity to join CIS’ters as a member. Please Note: Our website also includes information to help the wider community of victim/survivors, friends and non-abusing family, plus professionals. Eastleigh
