Portsmouth CathedralPortsmouth Cathedral is the Mother Church of the Diocese of Portsmouth, which covers south-east Hampshire, Portsea Island and the Isle of Wight. The focal point for many diocese-wide services and events, we host many diocesan events from confirmation services to the ordinations of new ministers. Worship in a variety of different styles is available throughout the year, from daily Holy Communion, to our informal family service #PompeySundays. We warmly welcome all through our doors, as a beacon and safe haven anchored in Jesus Christ. We are also the Parish Church of St Thomas of Canterbury, serving all who live in our geographical parish rather like any other smaller parish church.

Portsmouth Central MosquePortsmouth Central Masjid (Mosque) has been established since 2002. As the name suggests, it is located in the central area of Portsmouth called Fratton. The current building had originally been a Church, but subsequently went through many different uses, till it was converted to a Masjid, Alhamdulilla (all praise to Allah). We all pray that it remains a Masjid until the end.

Portsmouth City Brass BandAs a small band of approx ten people we are a very friendly and supportive group of individuals of mixed abilities. We enjoy playing popular tunes that the audience can sing along and dance to. This is not typical of traditional brass bands.
We fully support anybody that used to play a brass instrument, whatever their ability, that wishes to return to the hobby and meet new friends. We rehearse at The Deaf Centre in Arundel Street, Fratton, PO1 14X, Monday and Thursday nights 7:30pm - 9pm. Contact for more information via our band secretary; carolmason244@hotmail.com |
