We are open during term time and the school holidays. Entry is free for 6 – 13 year olds. Younger children are welcome too but must be accompanied by their parent or an adult 18yrs+, they must also be supervised at all times when on the adventure playground.

Our adventure playground is staffed by fully qualified Play Workers who encourage imagination, confidence and independence.

Home Visits and Online Services
With these uncertain times surrounding Covid-19, we are fully aware that a lot of our customers are unable to leave the safety of their homes to attend appointments at our branches. We also understand that not everyone has access to transportation, that is why we have gone the extra mile to put in place a service to help!

You can arrange for one of our fully trained members of staff to visit you in the comfort of your own home. We have our very own portable technology that allows us to conduct the same exceptional standard of service off-site. We also offer our expert advice and services online too!

The Portsea Men’s Shed is located in the Wickham Street Car Park opposite the Hard Interchange bus station. The entrance is through an open gate on the corner of Wickham Street and Clock Street.

We are open to visitors, prospective new members and people asking for our help in carrying out handicraft projects on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:30am.

Menopause Cafe is a charity that provides pop up style cafe events for people to gather, drink tea and discuss menopause. This Menopause Cafés is a public event.

Our Menopause Cafés are offered:
In an accessible, respectful and confidential space
Open for all, regardless of gender or age
With no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action
On a not for profit basis

Portsea Menopause Cafe will be held in the cafe/ library area of John Pounds Community Centre typically on the second Tuesday of the month at 6pm.

The library runs a number of activities as well as loaning books, CD's, DVD's and online magazine subscriptions.

The Portsmouth and District Multiple Sclerosis Society provides a much loved and valued service for the community. 

We run a drop in on the First Tuesday of the month from 12noon to 3pm in the Community Room, at Tesco Extra, Solent Road, Havant PO1 9TR, Free tea & Coffee will be provided. Drop in and see us from 12noon to 3pm on the first Tuesday of every month.

Pompey MultipleS are having their meet up from 24/02/26 6pm - 8pm at Swordsands Bowling Green right next to Portsmouth College. They meet on the last Tuesday of each month.

We now run a chair yoga group on a Wednesday morning from 11am to 12 noon at Fratton Community Centre. With several of us staying on for coffee or lunch after the session at the Community Centre's very reasonable cafe.

We run another seated yoga exercise group from 10.30 - 12noon on Mondays in the Community Room at Tesco Extra, Fratton Way, Portsmouth apart from the last Monday in the month which is a coffee morning from 10am - 12 noon. All welcome - family, friends, carers.

Portsmouth Area Talking News (PATN) is a registered charity (founded in 1973) providing weekly/monthly/quarterly audio publications to visually impaired people. Recordings are now made from various locations, replacing the previous PATN studio. The service is available via USB’s (memory sticks) / the PATN website / Amazon Alexa.
