The Portsmouth and Southsea Tree Wardens scheme was set up by Pauline Powell in March 2010 after gaining funding from Hilsea ward and Southsea Town Council who provided funding to cover the cost of membership to the National Tree Council.

Life can be full of surprises and sometimes it can be difficult to cope. Whatever troubles you face whilst at uni – a sudden change in circumstances, a loss of some kind or a tough decision – our University Chaplains can offer support, guidance and a willing ear.

The Chaplaincy Centre and Prayer Rooms are found in St Paul's Road, PO5 4AQ. It is available to all students and staff for a confidential chat, somewhere to have lunch with friends, or just some quiet space.

We'll listen to you confidentially about whatever you want to explore. Our Chaplains have pastoral skills that can help with establishing values, meaning and purpose for living.

The Charity provides help to local sick or disabled individuals who are also in financial need. One off grants may be made to purchase services or equipment which are not provided by either the state or the NHS and which will directly assist a person’s medical need or improve their quality of life. Support is also given to the Community Nurses by providing help with training courses, books and special equipment not normally funded by the NHS.

Please note that referrals can only be accepted from local health professionals and community/support workers with direct knowledge of the individual's or family’s situation.

Portsmouth Water offers assistance to people struggling to pay their water bills.

Portsmouth Wellbeing Service supports Portsmouth residents to quit smoking, drink less alcohol and achieve a healthy weight through eating well and moving more.

The Wellbeing Service can only support residents of Portsmouth who live within PO1-PO6.

Supports: 1-2-1 and groups.

Portsmouth Young Carers Project provides a range of support options to young carers in the city, the services are provided by Portsmouth City Council.

The Power of Self Esteem Course is experiential and will give you the opportunity to understand and find inner strength to break free and create what you really want in your life.

The course is free to residents of Paulsgrove and Wymering. Please contact us regarding the fee if you live outside of this area.
