Chat over Chai is an informal, informative and independent committee led Community group for adults (18+) which aims to support physical, mental and emotional well-being whilst reducing social isolation.

We are a welcoming, friendly and diverse group who come together weekly on Thursdays for a stimulating programme of talks, courses and events, enhancing our learning in many subject areas and increasing our knowledge of facilities and services available in the City of Portsmouth and local area.

Regular session times Thursdays 12.30 – 2.30 Thursdays, no need to book, just drop in.

Suggested voluntary contribution £1.00 per session

Chop, Cook, Chat teaches basic cooking skills to men aged 50+ who have had a change in circumstance such as a bereavement or becoming a carer.

It’s a great opportunity to meet other men in a similar situation as well as learning the skills needed to prepare healthy meals.

The cost of each session is £5, which includes refreshments, tasters and food to take home.

The knitting group at Caroline Square provides a welcoming space where people can come along to knit and socialise. If you are unable to knit but would like to learn, we can teach you! There will be the opportunity to take part in community knitting projects, we have knitting supplies available if you don't have your own.

We would also welcome anyone who would like to volunteer at the group.

Small, free car park available and located on good bus routes (just off Queen Street, opposite the John Pounds Centre)

Company of Makers exists to support ex-Service personnel and their partners with transitioning from military to civilian life, no matter how long it’s been since they left the Armed Forces.

Cosham Community Centre is the venue for a wide range of activities for the local community.

All of the classes charge a fee - each fee is set by the instructor running each individual class.

Loaning of books, CD's, magazine online subscription.
The library runs a 50+ craft club and rhymetimes as well as public access to computers for library users.

If you enjoy crafting or would like to learn a new crafting skill, pop along to a craft club. We recommend you ring the library first to check the club is running that week.

We provide spaces for people to Connect using Creativity. We believe mindful creativity is an underutilised wellbeing tool that should be accessible to all.
Creatful is cross generational and inclusive so we can create spaces for all people to feel welcome and safe. We provide creative events in Waterlooville, Havant, Portsmouth and other parts of Hampshire.
Creatful is a social enterprise – that means whatever money we make from our workshops goes straight back into delivering more for our community.
