The Compassionate FriendsThe Compassionate Friends is a national peer support charity for bereaved parents and adult bereaved siblings (aged 18+) offering support after the death of a child, from one month old up to an adult child and from any cause.
Our support is facilitated by bereaved parent or adult sibling volunteers. We also offer one to one telephone support to bereaved grandparents. Our national helpline is here for parents on 0345 123 2304 – we aim to open every day and as often as possible between 10am and 4pm and 7pm and 10pm. We also have local in person support groups, one to one local support contacts and occasional support days, weekend retreats and facilitated walks. We have a postal grief library, private, moderated Facebook Groups for loss in all and specific circumstances and online sharing sessions for loss in specific circumstances. We encourage parents to contact us directly for support either by phoning our helpline or emailing helpline@tcf.org.uk. |
The Good Grief TrustAll of us at The Good Grief Trust have lost someone we love, so we want to help you find the support you need as quickly as possible. You will find stories from others who have had a similar loss, practical and emotional support and signposting to a choice of immediate tailored local and national support on each of our pages on our website.
Our hope is that you find useful information, advice and encouraging stories from others to help you in this most difficult of times and to find a way forward with your life. |
