Our style of services could perhaps be best described as ‘middle of the road Anglican’.

11.15am*

*On the 2nd Sunday of each month, there is a combined Family Service for all ages at 10 am at the Church of the Resurrection instead of the 9.30 am and 11.15 am services. This service is frequently in a Café–Church style.

Welcome to our Catholic Churches serving the Parish of St Colman's with St Paul, Portsmouth. We share the message of Christ and worship Him together. The Centre Community facilities are now managed by the Parochial Church Council (PCC) who maintain and manages the Community Centre Facilities.

The Centre, spread over four floors, consists of:

Several community rooms of varying sizes available to hire.
A variety of activities for young & not so young
The Corner Pre-School
Baffins Surgery (Part of the East Shore Partnership)

The vision is of a Parish which seeks to value and affirm the gifts of all people and to provide a place of prayer, worship and welcome for all in the Parish. The desire is to develop ‘centres of excellence’ both of worship and of community involvement and use. The need is for the 3 Churches to recognise their interdependence and yet value their independence; to try to strike a balance between acknowledging the value of our common life, yet also valuing the qualities and style of the 3 Churches, similar to how the Trinity interacts. The priorities for the Parish are building up the life of each Church and of the Parish and looking at how each Church needs to be developed as a resource for its local community. Each Church has a potential that is being explored which helps fulfil the need to build up the spiritual life of the whole Parish and to encourage people in their journey of faith.

We are a team of three Anglican (Church of England) churches who serve a parish of 20,000 people in the north of the city of Portsmouth (UK). We are Three Churches, but One Parish, called to 'Meet Others, Worship God and Serve Portsmouth'

We are members of the Anglican Diocese of Portsmouth.

We’ve been serving God and the people in Milton and Eastney for over a century and a half – and we love it.

Today we’re a sociable, friendly and diverse group of people. I hope you’ll find something that interests you amongst all that goes on at St James, whether that’s in our worship or any of our activities together, or whether you’re interested in a wedding or a christening.

We want to be alongside people in their joys and their sorrows – and we want to nurture the community we’re part of and which we serve.

Our key values as a church are Word and Spirit and whenever we meet together to worship, we do so with an expectation that we will meet with God through His Holy Spirit and through His Word.

At St Jude's we host Friday Fridge which is open every Friday evening from 8pm to 10pm offering free hot food and drinks to any who are in need. Our guests are welcomed to stay and chill and our volunteers can provide help with any imediate issues.

On Wednesday mornings we hold a free Little Tiddlers mums and tots group in the main church. All are welcome and there is free tea and coffee. A great chance to meet and build relationships.

We also have a Little Tiddlers is a group for all under 5s and their parents & carers. We meet every Wednesday in term time 10-11.30am at St Jude's Church, Southsea. We enjoy play, craft, sensory activities, songs and stories together. Our group is free and includes snacks & drinks for little ones and grown ups. There's no need to book.
