Enable Ability - Adult ServicesEnable Ability is established as an independent charity for the care, welfare and advancement of people with disabilities living in Portsmouth and the surrounding area. We work in partnership with disabled children and adults, their families and carers to provide a range of high quality, professional and confidential services. As a charity that provides services to people with disabilities, we aim to be as inclusive as we can and actively represent the Voluntary and Community Sector through membership to the multi-agency SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Board set up by the Local Authorities to establish and implement a ’removing Barriers to Inclusion Plan’ for the locality a large part which relates to the development of inclusive and integrated services. 311-313 Copnor Road

Fratton Big LocalFratton Big Local is a Big Lottery funded 10-year project which aims to make lasting improvements to Fratton. It is run by a Partnership of local residents, who make decisions about how to spend the funding. Our Local plan is set in the context of National Big Local Outcomes: Communities will be better able to identify local needs and take action in response to them. People will have increased skills and confidence, so that they continue to identify and respond to needs in the future. The community make a difference to the needs it prioritizes. Lily and LimeMinstead Trust runs the Lily&Lime café in Portsmouth Central Library as a training enterprise for people with learning disabilities. The Trust began operating the café under the Lily&Lime name in September 2021. Lily & Lime also provides event catering. Dozens of people with learning disabilities work in the café to learn skills that help them work towards paid employment. Based on the third floor of Portsmouth Central Library, the café provides tasty and affordable food and drink, produced either in-house within our training kitchen or by local businesses. MAKE in Fratton Aldingbourne TrustVenue: MAKE is a community hub in Cornwall Road. Everyone is welcome. It's one of the Aldingbourne Trust’s innovative projects supporting adults with learning disabilities and / or autism to develop skills within a variety of areas to enable people to lead independent lives and gain employment within the community.
