Royal Voluntary Society - Social Activities Our goal is to inspire and enable people to give the gift of voluntary service to meet the needs of the day in their communities. We believe that our volunteers’ service makes them, and Britain, healthier and happier. We also work closely with the NHS, providing valuable support services that allow hardworking hospital staff time to focus on looking after the people in their care. Working one-to-one, in groups and online, our network of trained volunteers provide the time and skills that help people feel stronger, healthier and more able to cope with any challenges they may be facing. Through social activities and groups, they create connections and friendships that help communities thrive and boost the wellbeing of the people involved. Southsea Community Choir The Southsea Community Choir Please see Facebook for more information Established in 2007 by Janet Ayers, the choir now performs two concerts a year and Sing for Water Portsmouth, plus various busking performances locally, raising money for local and national charities. We sing songs from all over the world, in lots of different languages, plus English, all unaccompanied in 4 part harmony. Songs to celebrate the passing of the seasons of nature and the seasons of life. We work with people to find out what is important to them, linking them with all the great things they want to do that will have a positive impact on their physical and mental health.
