Social Groups

Socials for Seniors

Our group aims to help alleviate loneliness and isolation for seniors (age 65+) who live on their own. We are based at the CourtX tennis pavilion, on Eastern Parade. We now have opportunities seven days a week to get together, including coffee afternoons, lunches and suppers. We also arrange bus trips together to places of interest.

Southsea Community Choir

The Southsea Community Choir

Please see Facebook for more information

Established in 2007 by Janet Ayers, the choir now performs two concerts a year and Sing for Water Portsmouth, plus various busking performances locally, raising money for local and national charities.
We sing songs from all over the world, in lots of different languages, plus English, all unaccompanied in 4 part harmony. Songs to celebrate the passing of the seasons of nature and the seasons of life.
The choir is open to anyone who wants to sing, no audition and no experience necessary, just the willingness to jump in and have a go.

Wellbeing Walks Portsmouth

It’s almost impossible not to feel good when we’re walking outdoors – it’s a natural mood-booster! And the great news is we don’t need to walk far or fast to feel its effects on our health and wellbeing. Simply getting out is a tonic for our minds and bodies, and it can be sociable too.

Almost all of us can manage a stroll, and Ramblers Wellbeing Walks make it easier to start walking and stay active. And you’ll certainly never be short of good company. Join us on our walks listed on our website, you can just turn up on the day and our welcoming leaders will help you to register to the walks. If you would like to discuss any information further, please call or email below and we will get back to you about the walks. Ramblers wellbeing Walks are a volunteer based scheme, offering free socialable led walks in Portsmouth. This scheme is run jointly by Portsmouth City Council and The Ramblers.
