Family Support Groups

Our LGBTQIA+ inclusive Stay & Play Group for parents and children under the age of 5, every Friday afternoon at Northern Parade Family Hub.

This group will be a safe place for families and a chance to connect with families who share the experiences that come with parenting when part of the LGBTQIA+ community,

It will give children a chance to see versions of their own family reflected back at them. There are craft’s, play, messy play, stories and singing facilitated by our trained volunteers.

Maternity theatres
Infant Feeding support
Parent education

Moriah Family Support Group confidentially supports all families of children and young ones (0-25) with any special educational needs, particularly those with English as an additional language.

OTR is here to provide emotional wellbeing and mental health support for young people aged 11-25 in South East Hampshire and Portsmouth by offering a choice of counselling and group work options for young people, and parents / carers, so you can pick the support you feel will be most effective for your situation. Talking to someone in a counselling environment outside school, or home helps build your emotional resilience as you explore changes in your life or respond to traumatic events.

We understand that it might be nerve-wracking to make that first step but saying things out loud for the first time, in a safe space, can be life-changing!

A new venue in Portsmouth by and for people under 30. We are re-imagining Playland – the abandoned arcade on Commercial Road – into a vibrant, youth-led creative space. And it’s a totally blank canvas…for now!

Wherever you are on your journey and whatever you are passionate about – Playland is a safe space to express yourself, and access opportunities to build skills and experience for your creative career.

We’re looking for young people aged 16 – 30 to help shape every part of this new space: from designing the blank-canvas interior into a functional and playful space, to planning what will take place there.

In return we’ll offer training, mentoring, and shadowing opportunities, and we will support you to make your ​‘dream’ events come true. This is a chance for you to co-create something from the ground up, shaping it as YOU think it should be.

The Portsmouth Mediation Service provides mediation and restorative meetings for people caught up in conflict.

We are a group of passionate parents who work closely with, but independently of, Portsmouth City Council . We act as a link between the community and Children and Young People’s services. We understand the ups and downs that come with parenting and want to make sure all voices are heard and considered. In order to make services the best they can be it’s vital that we know what works for you and for the Community.

Portsmouth Parent Voice is for the parent carer of a child or young person with an additional or special need and/or disability; aged from 0 – 25 years old.

Portsmouth Parent Voice assists people to find the right support or service they need.

Our association is open to any women in Portsmouth and we are available to volunteer and to contribute to the community.
