HIVE Directory: Your Emotional Well-Being

Catch 22

Catch22 designs and delivers services that build resilience and aspiration in people of all ages and within communities across the UK. Our main goal is to ensure that everyone has the 3 P’s—a place to live, good people around them and a purpose in life. Across Hampshire, including Portsmouth, we deliver a Personal Wellbeing service for men on probation. We receive our referrals from probation practitioners and provide structured intervention-based work supporting those who are on probation with their wellbeing needs.

In Portsmouth and the rest of Hampshire, we support those aged 18+ via our Personal Wellbeing Commissioned Rehabilitative Service.

Community Connectors

Our team is made up of Occupational therapists and support staff.

Occupational therapists help people to develop, recover and improve, as well as maintain any skills needed for independent living after a period of illness, injury or change in functional ability.

The team’s support workers directly assist with the rehabilitation programs under the guidance and direction of the therapists.

This service is for people over 18 who live in Portsmouth and want to gain more independence in their day-to-day lives.

Our aim is to support you to improve your day-to-day skills and to learn new ones to support you to live the life you want, as independently as possible.

Whilst we do not have set timescales, an average rehabilitation program is between 6-12 weeks.

Community Peer Service Portsmouth

Peer support is a person-centred form of support where people with lived experience work alongside those needing support. Our peer practitioners have lived experience of mental health themselves and can relate to how you are feeling.

We can support you with:

Accessing community services and community activities
Recovery‑focused activities including courses such as; WRAP, Coping Skills and The Decider Skills.
Using lived experience to support others’ recovery and prevent escalation
Social inclusion through accessing community groups and activities
Please note that our services are not a crisis centre or 'Mental Health A&E' and we don't stock or prescribe medication. We are also not a gateway into secondary mental health services.

For urgent support, contact the NHS on 111, or call Samaritans on 116 123.
