HIVE Portsmouth works with people and organisations to improve the health and well being of people in Portsmouth. Key partners include health and care statutory organisations, Portsmouth City Council, the University of Portsmouth and the hundreds of voluntary, community and social enterprise groups (VCSE) who play a pivotal role in supporting local people. We actively support the development of the VCSE sector within the City of Portsmouth and enable and support social action on issues within Portsmouth.
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team as our Voluntary & Community Sector Alliance & Community Hub Development Lead to support the implementation of our strategic priorities. The role will focus on the development of a network of Alliances to encourage sharing of resource, support, insight and the co-production of solutions and partnerships which will enable the VCSE to work as an equal partner in improving health and care in the city. The role will also work alongside communities to develop local community hubs which improve access to information, support and services which seek to address health inequalities in the city.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is keen to build positive partnerships across VCSE organisations and local communities and facilitate partnership working, collaboration and learning. The successful candidates must demonstrate a good understanding of HIVE Portsmouth’s goals and ensure that the role of HIVE Portsmouth is clearly communicated. They will need an in-depth knowledge of the VCSE within Portsmouth and be passionate about supporting the sector and community development; demonstrating their impact and creating capacity. They will be solution focused and able to work on building on the strengths of individuals and communities and be able to build trust with underrepresented communities, facilitate events and conversations and ensure information flow on key issues and opportunities.
