We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Sector Support Officer to support and guide local voluntary and community organisations. This will include advice and guidance on governance issues, helping them to decide on the most appropriate legal status for them and the development of legal documents and constitutions.
You will build positive relationships and trust with both organisations and underrepresented communities within Portsmouth and ensure information flow on key issues seeking opportunities to build connections, help them grow, create solutions to challenges, champion collaboration, learning and sharing within the sector.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed to partnership working and can facilitate organisational development, collaboration and learning. The successful candidate must demonstrate a good understanding of HIVE Portsmouth’s goals and ensure that the role of HIVE Portsmouth is clearly communicated. They will acquire an in-depth knowledge of the VCSE sector within Portsmouth and be passionate about supporting the sector; demonstrating their impact and building on the capacity and sustainability of the sector. They will be solution focused and able to confidently suggest credible opportunities to help organisations fill identified gaps in provision, develop and achieve their objectives.
This post is offered on either a full time or part time basis for the right candidate with a minimum of 3 days a week.
