Doctors Surgery

Overview - If you live or work in the Portsmouth area, you can get free and confidential civil legal advice from our General Legal Advice Clinic. Help with landlord & tenant and other housing issues; employment matters; contact with children and other family enquiries; consumer and contract matters. We cannot help with criminal matters, immigration law or cases involving the university. We are currently unable to offer representation.

We are currently able to offer face-to-face and telephone advice.

Face-to-face service appointments are held in the Portland Building at the University of Portsmouth.

When the clinic is open, appointments are available at either 10:00am or 2:00pm.

We work with local non-profit organisations to find volunteering roles that are suited for students, ensuring that appropiate support, training and H&S arrangements are in place. Unloc is a leading education non profit founded in 2013 by award-winning young leaders and advocates Hayden Taylor and Ben Dowling. We help schools, colleges and organisations inspire and empower young people to be changemakers through bespoke and innovative programmes in entrepreneurship, leadership, careers & employability and youth voice. We also deliver a variety of free open, access programmes in the community for young people to take part in outside of school time.

Unmade Radio is a community radio station that will offer a platform for DJs and sounds that aren't currently represented in local radio and nightlife, pushing towards a more inclusive, reactive and progressive music scene in Portsmouth
