SilverCloud - Our space from COVIDOur Space From Covid programme is made up of six modules, each addressing issues you may be experiencing due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Each module provides clinically-backed support for trouble sleeping, coping with stress, developing mindfulness, financial worries and experiencing grief and loss. SilverCloud is offering this service completely free of charge and for anyone to use. Solent Mind - Portsmouth Community Peer Recovery TeamRecovering from a period of poor mental health can feel overwhelming as there may be obstacles to navigate and new anxieties before gaining back your independence.
Our Community Peer Recovery Team (or CPRT for short) can offer you the help that you need to set manageable goals, access the support you need and start getting back on your feet. Our support is special because our staff have their own lived experience of living with a mental health issue. The Secondary Employment Team also offers placement support by helping you discover skills and qualities that make you an asset to employers, then matching them to local industries where you will thrive. Solent Mind Portsmouth Peer Support and Wellbeing TeamThe Portsmouth Peer Support and Wellbeing service is a new style of service offering peer support for anyone who feels low, worried or hopeless at the Portsmouth Wellbeing Centre, PositiveMinds. Please note our new location on Arundel St, Portsmouth.
Through 1:1 support and useful workshops, we can help you identify your needs and get you moving towards your goals. We also operate a 'tell us once' system: a chat with us can get you connected to your community and its services, without having to explain yourself again and again. We hope to put you in touch with the right support at the right time. Simply book in to talk to peer support and wellbeing practitioners. The peer practitioners have lived through difficulties themselves and can relate to how you are feeling. We will work with you to identify goals and walk alongside you in your recovery journey. We can support you with: Drop-in Face to face sessions 1:1 Support Advice and guidance Workshops around managing wellbeing Support Groups Social inclusion Graded Exposure Please note that our services are not a crisis centre or 'Mental Health A&E' and we don't stock or prescribe medication. Southsea Community ChoirThe Southsea Community Choir
Please see Facebook for more information Established in 2007 by Janet Ayers, the choir now performs two concerts a year and Sing for Water Portsmouth, plus various busking performances locally, raising money for local and national charities. We sing songs from all over the world, in lots of different languages, plus English, all unaccompanied in 4 part harmony. Songs to celebrate the passing of the seasons of nature and the seasons of life. Portsmouth City council support our social venture in their commitment to local communities. We want to get more people growing, buying local food and crafts and to share tools, campaigns and resources with others who care about the city we live in. To help make Pompey proud of it's green-spaces. Our philosophy is to ‘grow your own’, sharing seeds, compost; plants; trees; green space and resources. With the Food Partnership, and green groups, we campaign for sustainability; recycling and reducing waste. And for a happier, healthier environment. |
Southsea SanghaEarthworm Sangha is a monthly meditation group run by and for disabled, neurodiverse and chronically ill people.
We meet monthly, online over Zoom, to practice half an hour of peer-led silent meditation, followed by community sharing. It’s free to attend from your sofa, sick bed or meditation cushion, and there is no expectation to speak in the group or have your camera on, your presence with us is a gift. For those who are newer to practice we will share links to resources such as guided meditation although our main practice is silent. Dharma Den An open access, weekly online meditation space and community check in When: Every Tuesday Online Time: 7pm – 8pm UK Where: Online Dharma Den Online is a great way to connect and sustain your individual meditation practice. Each week is facilitated by Sangha Volunteers, offering guided meditations and an opportunity to practice together and discuss your practice with others in your community.This group is suitable for all levels of experience.
